Humidifier
Humidifiers are absolutely essential for us in Calgary especially for our dry and cold winter days where our furnace is almost running constantly. The right humidifier will not only make your indoor air more comfortable but also add more warmth. However, there can also be such thing as too much humidity as well. It is important to monitor and optimize humidity where you feel super comfortable yet you do not notice condensation on your windows. At Go Furnace Ltd., we will supply and install the most ideal humidifier suitable for your home.
At home: Using ventilation and filtration to reduce the risk of aerosol transmission of COVID-19
Use the highest efficiency particulate filter that the forced air system is capable of handling, without impeding airflows. For example, the Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) indicates a filter’s ability to capture particles. Upgrading to a filter with a higher MERV rating can help reduce the amount of small particles in the air. However, higher MERV-rated filters can also reduce airflow through the forced air system, which can lead to mechanical damage, less filtered air, or air bypassing the filter. Always consult the forced air system manual or an HVAC professional to check what filter the system in your residence can handle. Ensure that the filter on the forced air system in your residence is properly sized to prevent air leakage around the filter.
